Nollywood Actors Tell Students To Shun Cultism

Nollywood actors, Chiwatalu Agu, Camela Mberekpe and Bruno Iwoaha, in arecently held event, held at the Cross River State College of Education in Awi, Akamkpa Local Government Area, with the Department of Orientation and Public Affairs in the Governor’s Office, warned students in higher institutions to shun cultism, saying it will cut short their future dreams.
Actor, Chiwatulu Agu, who spoke on behalf of the actors as the special guest of honor at the award and unveiling of the film ‘Cross of Decision,’ said most cultists in higher institutions do not live normal life in the society as a result of the negative behaviour they imbibed.
According to him “If I had been a cult member during my school days I would not have been where I am today. Any cultist does not live a normal life in the society and cannot be appointed into positions of authority. Cultism will cut your future dream, so, shun it.”
The event was also attended by the Commissioner representing the state in the board of Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr. Paul Adah, member, House of Representatives, Mr. Dan Asuquo, property developer, Dr. Paul Udayi, Brig-Gen. Mannix Nyiam (rtd), among others who were used as role models for the students.
Speaking at the event, the Provost of the state College, Dr. Bassey Ejue, warned the students that anyone found to be associated with cultism would be expelled.
