Two Killed As NAF Helicopter Crashes In Borno


A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Mi-35 Helicopter on a training mission has crashed Monday afternoon in Borno State, North East of the country with two of the three crew members confirmed dead.
This was contained in a statement, Monday, signed by the Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade.
According to him, the NAF Helicopter crashed due to technical fault at a location South of Bama, but
the Pilot was fortunate to have survived.
“One of the pilots of the crashed helicopter has been recovered alive while the second one as well as the technician on board the three member crew flight died in the crash…”, he said.
Olukolade said investigation has already commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.
