Police Promotes 37 Commissioners, Two AIGs

On Friday Nigeria’s Police Service Commission promoted two police officers to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General, and 30 to Commissioner. A statement by Ferdinand Ekpe, Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations of the commission, gave the names of the promoted officers as follows...



Pius U. Imue, Valentine U. Ntochukwu, Felix Goodluck Ogundeji, Frederick Taiwo Lakanu, HildaIbifuro-Harrison, Micheal Ogbodu, Nwodibo Ekechukwu, Etop John James, Ademola Omole, Olushola Emmanuel Amore,  Joshak Habila, Adegbuyi Samuel Damilola, Rasheed O. Akintunde, Istifanus Shettima, Jimoh Omeiza Ozi-Obeh, Ibrahim Lamorde, Ghazalli Mohammed, Peace Ibekwe Abdallah, Victory Niro Menta, Clement O. Adoda, Austin I. Iwar, Adekunle J. Oladunjoye, Adaji-Adejo-Gabriel, Sobulo B.T.M., Mohammed Lawal Hussein, Ishaku Alhaji Barau, Emmanuel T. Inyang, Olufemi Olanipekun Oyeleye, Gabriel Achong, and Ezekiel Danboyi Zang.

The seven promoted Commissioners in an acting capacity are: Wilson Inalegwu, Mani Murtala Usman,Fatai Owoseni, Emmanuel C. Ojukwu, Moses Jitibor, Adeyemi Samuel Ogunjemilusi, and Ibine Emanuel J. They are all currently occupying/holding offices of Commissioners of Police.

All the appointments are in effect from 25 August 2014.
