God Has Chosen Leader For 2015- Sultan

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Monday said God has already chosen Nigeria’s leader for 2015.
NAN reports that the Sultan made the assertion at the inauguration of Holy Mother and Child Clinic constructed by the Sokoto Catholic Diocese to enhance the state’s health care delivery.

Abubakar, who urged Nigerians to live in peace with each other, stated that it is only when there is peace that government can embark on developmental programmes that would transform the wellbeing of the people.
The Sultan, who called on political leaders to always have the fear of God in the discharge of their duties said: “we are going to account for our deeds before God.”

The traditional ruler urged politicians to play responsible politics in 2015, and work towards conducting the general elections in a free, fair and credible manner. He said such development would be bring to fore, good democratic leaders that would take the country to the next level.

Speaking also at the event, Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, commanded the peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in the state. He said such cordial relationship could only be achieved through mutual understanding between the two major religions.
It would be recalled that Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, last week warned politicians against using innocent children as political thugs. The Sultan of Sokoto, and Catholic Archbishop of Abuja diocese, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, were also reported to have had a crucial conference ahead the 2015 general election.
