Dejannah Price, 10, said she lost her balance and flipped right into the machine as she was leaning over trying to take rugs out of the drum.
Frantic mum Diana Brown called police from their home in Long Island, New York, after numerous attempts to free her little girl failed.
Officers had to take the machine apart to free the girl. It wasn't long before Dejannah started to laugh at the dangerous situation.
But Diana didn't find it as funny. She said she tried everything she could think of to free her daughter but later had to admit defeat and call 911.
“We was p***** because we was like, ‘How the hell are we going to get her out of here?'" she added “We attempted, but we couldn't.”
Upon arrival, emergency services were baffled at the predicament.
Eventually, they had to take apart the device to get her out after more than an hour of her being trapped inside.
Fortunately, Dejannah wasn't seriously injured in the process and was overjoyed at her release.
She said: “I’m like, ‘Oh yes, I’m out!’ Then my mom, I was like, sore — I’m like hunched over like this, and then my mom, she’s like, ‘Oh, my baby!’”
