Dutch Ease Past Brazil in Third Place Game with Humiliating 3-0 Victory
Estádio Nacional de Brasilia, Brasília – Netherlands ends their World Cup campaign with a win over Brazil in the third place match 3-0.
Brazil hoping of getting some pride back was shattered within three minutes of play when Thiago Silva hauls back Robben who was free and just about to enter the box, Van Persie didn’t make any mistake, the Dutch were in front just after three minutes.
Blind make it two for the Dutch, Brazil were in deep trouble to avoid another embarrassment in front of their home crowd.
The Dutch were a better side in the first half with leading the host 2-0, but Brazil finds some chances after the half break but fails to find the net.
Holland continues to press the host and was rewarded in the first minute of injury time when Wijnaldum score his first goal of the World Cup.
Germany will play Argentina in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2014.
