Night
of Tributes in Honour of late Prof. Dora Akunyili held yesterday August
25, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. Anambra State
governor, Chief Willie Obiano, Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo Iweala,
Elegant Stallion Onyeka Onwenu, among other dignitaries attended the
event.
Dr.
Akunyili funeral began on Friday August 22 with with a Christian
Wake-Keep at her Enugu residence. It continues today with a Mass at
Pro-Cathedral Catholic Church, Garki Abuja, after which her body will be
taken to her family home in Enugu and then to her husband’s house in
Agulu, Anambra State.. Burial takes place on Thursday, August 28.
