President Goodluck Jonathan launched the new National Identity Card in Abuja today August 28. The card has multifaceted function including identification, electronic signatures, biometric on-card verification, depositing and withdrawal of cash, electronic payment for goods and services, amongst other applications. Others at the unveiling are Minister of Finanace Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Minister of Agriculture Akin Adesina amongst others.
